Legendary Nile

Nile Cruise - The best way to see Egypt

8 days/7 nights

With Egypt's anticipated new Grand Egyptian Museum scheduled to open in 2020, you will be able to visit one of the most impressive treasure troves in the entire world. The ancient mysteries of Egypt come alive as you embark on an unforgettable journey through this land of antiquities. Gaze at the mysterious and awe-inspiring Great Pyramids, marvel at the Sphinx, walk the colorful bazaars.

Set sail on the River Nile on a multi-day cruise, exploring both the East and West Bank of Luxor, Thebes and Aswan. Stand at the foot of the ancient temples and mosques in the Valley of the Kings and Queens.

Included in Legendary Nile is a stop at Abu Simbel is one of the most recognizable other than the Pyramids. For 3,000 years, the temples sat on the west bank of the Nile. However, in a remarkable feat of engineering, the temple complex was totally dismantled and rebuilt on higher ground in the 1960's. The relocation of the temples was necessary or they would have been submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the River Nile.
