  South Luangwa National Park

  Camp 1

  After breakfast board a short flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to your safari in the South Luangwa. The game viewing begins almost immediately as you are escorted on a game drive transfer to your safari camp.
  
  Known for its big cat sightings, South Luangwa is often referred to as the Valley of the Leopard. The game viewing here is superb, with leopards and lions sometimes wandering through the ebony grove in search of prey.
  
  It won't take long for its magic and mystifying beauty to begin revealing itself. One of the world's greatest wildlife sanctuaries, South Luangwa is home to more than 60 mammal species, from the large herds of giraffes and elephants that roam its grasslands to the hippos and crocodiles dwelling in its rivers.
  
  Spend three nights on safari at "Camp 1" before moving deeper into "Luangwa"

  Camp 1

  There is a world of adventure to be had in South Luangwa. A team of experienced guides are at your service, but you set the pace for your unique safari excursion.
  
  Game drives (morning & afternoon) take you through lush riverine vegetation and thick mopane and mahogany forests to seek out wildlife unique to the Luangwa valley, including the Thornicroft giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest.
  
  The main attraction in South Luangwa is the Walking Safari. Immerse yourself in the unspoiled wilderness, discovering the diverse habitats that make up this exceptional national park, from tranquil rivers to ancient forests and open pans. Always accompanied by an expert guide and scout as you traverse the land on foot, you may learn how to track a leopard by identifying its spoor, scout for tracks of antelope eluding predators, and observe crocodile footprints etched in the damp sand. You can walk as much or as little as you please, with vehicle transfers available between camps as an alternative.

  Camp 1

  Don't go out on the morning game drive!! Sit back enjoy fresh coffee/tea. Take in the surrounding area and realize where you are. There is plenty of time for an afternoon game drive or walk.
  
  For those wishing to truly immerse themselves in nature, a sleepout under the stars lets you feel the thrill of early African explorers. It's an experience you will never forget.

  South Luangwa National Park

  Camp 2

  Journey deeper into South Luangwa and spend the next three days in another area of this game-rich park. Nestled deep within the stunning South Luangwa National Park, your remote and elevated camp offers views of a private floodplain and watering hole. The landscape comes to life with the rolling gait of giraffe, the heart-shaped nose of the puku, and the midnight whoop of the hyena.
  
  Rise early each morning to the smell of fresh coffee and tea. At first light, venture on a game drive to catch the excitement of wildlife predators who are more active during the cooler morning hours. In the heat of the day, relax around the lounges that are open to rivers or lagoons, enticing the resident elephant and hippos to play or drink from their waters.
  
  After lunch, head out on another game drive in hopes of finding a pride of lion with playful cubs, a herd of elephant, and wild dogs. As darkness sets in, embark on an exhilarating night safari with the use of red spotlights.
  
  And whenever the mood strikes, set out on a Walking Safari with your local guide to continue your exploration of this wondrous environment. As you move on foot, track footprints and other signs of wildlife, encounter smaller creatures of the bush, learn about the diverse flora of South Luangwa, and observe giraffes and other large animals safely.

  South Luangwa National Park

  Camp 2

  Explore the second area of your South Luangwa safari. Diverse scenery and search for the wildlife species you may not have seen in your first camp.
  
  Night drives can be very rewarding, with the bush revealing a different nocturnal surprise every time - leopard, genets or civet cats, mongoose, elephant shrews, various owl species, and the less common porcupine and badgers.

  South Luangwa National Park

  Photographers and animal lovers will jump at the chance to sit in one of the hides, where you can observe the wildlife at very close range. There is nothing as impressive as getting to see elephant feet at your eye level!
  
  Your day unfolds as you wish - go out on game drives, walks or if the camp has water based safari.

  Livingstone - Victoria Falls

  Bid farewell to the bush as another flight takes you to the town of Livingstone, on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls. One of the natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls is a World Heritage site. Known as Mosi Oa Tunya, or "The Smoke that Thunders," the Falls drop 350 feet into the gorge below.
  
  Spend two days exploring the area by land, water, or air. This afternoon, set out on foot to get your first up-close view of the Falls from the Zambian side.
  
  Optional - highly recommended - Take to the skies in a Helicopter flight for stunning aerial views of both the Zambia & Zimbabwe sides of the Falls

  Livingstone

  Your Journey Onwards

  Enjoy a final breakfast and leisurely morning in Livingstone. Perhaps head out once more to view the mighty Victoria Falls and the mystical rainbow that often appears through the mist.
  
  Then your journey through Zambia draws to a close as you are escorted to the Livingstone Airport to board your international flight homeward. Carry with you the memories of an authentic African safari that will stay in your heart forever.
  
  Or perhaps you'd like to continue your African journey? Trave further south to Cape Town, South Africa or the beautiful beaches of Mozambique.

  Onward Journey

  One more walk to Vic Falls, possibly catch a glimpse of the rainbow that often frames the gorge.
